Constitution

1. OBJECTIVES

a) To provide non-political forum for discussion and debate of issues related to Energy in London Boroughs, other local Authorities and Associated Member Organisations.

b) To encourage the widespread application of effective local authority Energy work throughout all London Boroughs and to promote the status of Energy Managers and Energy Officers.

2. MEMBERSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY

There will be three classes of membership Full Member, Associate Member and Honorary Member.

a) Full Member

Individuals directly employed by a public sector organisation in Energy related work.

b) Associate Member

Individuals actively involved in Energy related work and whose application is approved by Committee and subject to ratification by members at AGM.

c) Honorary Member

This award can be confirmed on individuals deemed to have made a singular contribution to the group.

3. COMMITTEE

The Group Committee will consist of 9 Committee Members, including the Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary. No more than one representative per organisation may hold committee office simultaneously. No more than 2 Committee places will be occupied by Associated Members. Associated Members may not stand for election as Chairperson. All Committee Members will be subject to re-election at the AGM. The Chairperson will not be eligible to remain in office for more than two consecutive terms.

A quorum of at least 5 Committee required for voting to take place.
